ACADEMICS
Holy Name Catholic School is fully accredited by the State of
Kansas and provides a challenging curriculum for its students.
The educational standards at Holy Name meet or exceed those
of the State of Kansas. Holy Name participates in Kansas State
Assessments. High expectations supported by parents and
teachers enable students to build a strong academic foundation.
Holy Name builds on a love of learning and love of neighbor,
instilling in children the tools and study habits needed for the
life-long learning required in today’s global society. The
individual needs of students are met through enrichment
activities and/or modified curriculum, ensuring academic
success for all.
TECHNOLOGY
Technology is a vital component to today’s society and to
education. Holy Name has a mobile computer lab for usein the
classrooms and have wireless internet connection, allowing for
technology integration throughout the curriculum. Students
have access throughout the day to enrichment and remediation
programs. In addition to learning basic computer skills students
use technology to enhance their learning experiences. Younger
students utilize story writing programs incorporating word
processing and keyboarding skills, and paint programs to
illustrate work and ideas. All computers have Microsoft Office
Suite installed. The older children use the internet for research
projects, word processing, and use PowerPoint to present
projects and research to the class. Our technology program is
set up to encourage creativity, cooperative learning, and critical
thinking skills preparing students for tomorrow. Holy Name
offers a summer technology camp.
